Cousin of Oscar winner director Michael Cimino, Massimiliano (Max) Cerchi is an award-winning film director and producer.He is known for the hit supernatural thriller "Mayday",starring Michael Paré (The Lincoln Lawyer), "The Penthouse",starring 2 Primetime Emmy nominee Nicholas Turturro (The Longest Yard),& frequent collaborator Michael Paré (Gone), the action film "Lockdown", starring Bai Ling (Crank: High Voltage),& frequent collaborator Michael Paré (Hope Floats), and the action packed thriller "Adrenaline", starring Louis Mandylor (Rambo: Last Blood), and Costas Mandylor (Saw VI). all distributed through LIONSGATE, and, most recently "The Bouncer ",starring frequent collaborator 2 Primetime Emmy nominee Nicholas Turturro (NYPD Blue),& Costas Mandylor (Saw IV).
Born In Italy, he moved to study and work in USA. He started his first movie in 1993.
He works from concept-to-completion on each film, developing the ideas, assembling the creative team, and delivering a finished production to the distributor. In every project, he is part filmmaker/part consultant/part workaholic.
