Abigail Hunt was born in Tulelake, CA to Jeanne and John, a nurse and a farmer. She grew up riding horses, driving tractors, and working on the family farm. She began fostering her love for acting in the 7th grade when she was cast in her first role in the school play "The Murder Room". After 6 years of theatre and summer film camp, she graduated high school Valedictorian and moved to Los Angeles. She received her Bachelor of Science from California State University: Long Beach and began her acting career shortly thereafter.
