Thijs van Aken was born in Laren NH. After he followed his study "Facility Management" in Amsterdam, he did a number of acting workshops. He played in the musicals: Charly and the chocolate factory by J.M.A. in Amsterdam; "Boevenpak" and "Pruikentijd" by "Ivo de Wijs" and "Joop Stokkermans"; "Irma La Douce" directed by "Andre van den Heuvel" and "Ruud Bos"; "The Little Mermaid" by Studio 100, where he played the part of "Apollo" the Shark and "Merlijn" the Oyster where he got a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. And in the musical "Tita Tovenaar" bij V & V Entertainment. He played the part of "Broer" one of the Grobbebollen. Besides musicals, he is the voice of many cartoons-films, commercials and cartoon-series such as "Up" (Doug), Alice in Wonderland (Tumbledee Tumbledom), G-Force (Ben) Handy Manny (Handy Manny), Kid Paddle (Kid Paddle), Viva Pignata (Fergie), Ben 10 (Kevin), Best Ed (Eddie), Genie in the House (Max), The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (Estaban), etc.
